File Descriptions:
1. GSCSI4.SYS -- DOS Driver for 51-2/3150/3180 host adapter. This driver
handles non_bootable configuration, and supports
removable media feature (DTC HF24, Syquest). The
driver follows DOS standard BPB (BIOS Parameter Block)
structure. The driver support logical drive size greater
than 32 Mbyte, if driver is run under DOS 4.00 version or
above. It also fully support the utility comes with the
DOS, such as FORMAT SYS, XCOPY, CHKDSK. It dosn't support
DOS FDISK.
2. GSCSI4.EXE -- DOS Driver for 51-2/3150/3180 host adapter. This driver
handles bootable configuration, and supports functions
described in GSCSI4.SYS.
3. GSDIAG.EXE -- Provide with SCSI device Low Level Format, and Diagnostic
function.
4. GSFDISK.EXE -- SCSI disk DOS partition utility. This utility support
multiple DOS partition create function. It also support
display partition information, delete exist DOS partition,
and active partitioncan function. The partition size can
greater than 32 Mbyte.
Installatin Note:
1. Use GSDIAG.EXE to do the SCSI disk low level format.
2. Follow the DOS "installable device driver" procedure and
put the following statement in CONFIG.SYS file.
DEVICE=GSCSI4.SYS
3 If install Removeable Drive as first two drive (i.e. no ST-506 attach
in system) put the following statement in AUTOEXEC.BAT file to support
removeable drive feature.
GSCSI4.EXE
Otherwise, if systen has ST-506 drive attached, or if system has no
ST-506 attached and no any DTC HF24 attached as first two drive
( base on drive SCSI ID sequence ), you don't need to execute the
GSCSI4.EXE file.
4. Use GSFDISK to create drive partitions.
5. Use DOS FORMAT utility to high level format the logical drives.
